GAEP

The Georgia Association of Environmental Professionals (GAEP) is a chapter of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP), serving environmental practitioners in Georgia and connecting them with a national professional community. Its purpose is to support the quality of the natural and human environment, encourage participation in professional activities, and advance environmental planning and reporting across the state.

GAEP promotes a holistic understanding of environmental issues through forums for discussion, multidisciplinary continuing education, the sharing of innovative solutions, and relationships among professionals in Georgia and nationwide. Members and others can take part in events, training opportunities, networking, and a corporate sponsorship program. The association also shares industry news, job openings, and professional development information through its monthly Informant newsletter, and provides access to a job board and professional resources.

Supporting future practitioners is another part of GAEP’s work. Its scholarship program awards grants to students enrolled in environmental fields, and its annual fundraiser helps support these awards.
