Gender-just climate action recognizes that women, girls, and trans, intersex, and non-binary people are disproportionately impacted by climate change, yet remain the least resourced to respond, despite being proven leaders in advancing sustainable, community-rooted climate solutions. GAGGA is a funder, convener, and catalyst for gender-just climate action. Over the last 10 years, the Alliance has built an infrastructure that enables women-led organizations to access sustained adaptive funding, tools, and knowledge to confront climate change. However, the climate crisis continues to outpace our ability to respond, and rather than tackling this global crisis as a collective, the solutions being funded often exclude those most impacted. Specifically, women-led organizations remain severely underfunded and underrepresented in decision-making spaces. GAGGA - Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action is a pioneering brand that unites women's rights and climate justice movements globally. Our vision is to secure women's rights to water, food security, and a clean, healthy environment. Through our network of 16 women's funds, 8 environmental justice funds, 28 NGOs, and 390 grassroots groups in 39 countries, we provide crucial support. GAGGA offers small grants, capacity-building workshops, and advocacy initiatives at local, national, and regional levels. We also promote collaboration between women's rights and climate justice groups to influence decision-makers collectively.
