About GaitREHub Project
Their goal is to provide patients, especially those with neurological injuries, the ability to practice gait training in the comfort of their own homes. With real-time tele-monitoring from professionals, patients can receive feedback and track their progress remotely. This not only saves costs associated with traditional clinical treatment but also addresses the need for remote patient-monitoring technologies, especially relevant during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The collected gait training data is analyzed and shared through a feedback tool, allowing for continuous monitoring and tailored training prescriptions without the need for physical clinic visits. By contributing to the UN's SDG 3 (Good health and Well-being), gaitREHub supports the digital transformation of healthcare systems. With the increasing adoption of online forms of work, providing online support for gait training is a natural progression in rehabilitation for mobility-impaired patients
