GAJA ART

GAJA ART is the studio and online gallery of artist Justyna Gaja, whose practice focuses on expressive, semi-abstract paintings. Combining figurative and abstract elements, she explores how light and colour shape visual experience and convey the emotions associated with a moment. Nature is her main source of inspiration, especially flowers, Dutch landscapes, open skies and reflections on water.

Gaja paints primarily with palette knives, using the alla prima technique to apply thick oil paint in direct, confident strokes. Her work includes flower paintings, landscapes, seascapes and modern portraits, with a recent collection devoted to semi-abstract flowers. The coloured ground and layered tones contribute to the texture and interplay of colour in each piece.

The website presents her artworks, artist statement, résumé, publications, blog and exhibition information. It also offers details about art lessons and workshops, and features videos of her painting process through the GAJA ART STUDIO YouTube channel. Gaja participates in exhibitions and art festivals, and her paintings are held in galleries and private collections in the Netherlands and abroad. Her work is represented by Galerie Amsterdam and shown at Art Gallery Rozendaal.
