The Galilee Society, formally the Arab National Society for Health Research and Services, is an independent, non-partisan, non-governmental organization founded in 1981 by physicians and health specialists. It is among the first Arab civil society organizations established in Israel. The Society works to develop and strengthen Arab society through initiatives in health, the environment, science, and community development.
Its work combines research, education, and public engagement. It also promotes scientific education through its Science Education Center and ScienTech initiatives, helping expand public engagement with science. The Society shares its work through publications, news, events, and partnerships, and supports cooperation on issues affecting health institutions and Arab-Jewish relations. Recent activities described on its website include research on workplace relationships in the health system during wartime and studies related to science education.
