Galactic Images is an international fine art business specializing in astrophotography. Founded in 1992, this brand offers a unique way to experience and appreciate the beauty of our universe through the lens of a professional photographer and amateur astronomer. The sale of their photographs helps fund the day-to-day operations of their observatories and supports ongoing imaging projects.
Astrophotography is a highly skilled form of artistic expression that requires immense patience, time, and practice. Galactic Images captures deep space objects using various equipment, including a homemade 16 diameter F4. 5 Newtonian Telescope, as well as smaller instruments.
Their photographs are time exposures, ranging from 10 minutes to 17 hours, and are manually guided using the photographer's expertise. With over 800 published images in books, magazines, and software worldwide, Galactic Images is recognized for their exceptional work in the field. They print directly from the original negatives and also utilize astronomical cooled CCD and high-resolution digital DSLR cameras for certain images.
By blending art and science, Galactic Images provides a captivating glimpse into the vast wonders of our universe
