Galería Maior

Galería Maior is a contemporary art gallery founded in Pollença, Mallorca, in 1990. It promotes contemporary art and represents both emerging and established artists, presenting work that explores new media, artistic languages and ways of seeing. Its programme includes approximately seven exhibitions each year, featuring recent work by a range of artists. The gallery also collaborates with museums, institutions and foundations to help share its artists’ work nationally and internationally.

Alongside exhibitions, Galería Maior participates in international art fairs, including ARCO, Art Cologne, Loop, Artissima, KIAF and PULSE. During July, August and September, it hosts “El video en el tejado,” a rooftop video-art programme in which artists and cultural professionals present selected works. The gallery’s experimental workshops, Edicions Maior, enable artists to develop work using diverse techniques and produce editions. Contributors include José Pedro Croft, Eva Lootz, A.R.
