Galerie Anita Beckers, established in 1995 in Darmstadt and later relocated to Frankfurt am Main in 1998, has dedicated itself to promoting young artists from the start. The gallery prioritizes video and new media art, providing a platform for artists to showcase their work and supporting their publications and productions. Its artists have been featured in prestigious international museums, such as MoMA, SF MoMA, and the Whitney Museum, as well as various festivals and biennials. The gallery's artists have been collected by esteemed institutions like MMK Frankfurt, Pinakothek der Moderne, and Guggenheim, among others.
With over 20 years of experience, Galerie Anita Beckers aims to juxtapose historical positions with emerging artists, particularly in the realms of photography and video. The gallery has shifted its focus to facilitate dialogue between these emerging talents and established artists. In the fall of 2015, the gallery expanded to a new exhibition space in Frankfurt’s inner city at Braubachstraße 9. With a commitment to nurturing emerging talent and fostering artistic dialogue, Galerie Anita Beckers continues to be a vital presence in the art world.
