Galerie Marie-Hélène Bou (Galerie MHB) is an art gallery founded by Marie-Hélène Bou in Aveyron in 1984. Initially focused on contemporary art exhibitions, the gallery has developed expertise in older painting and in the study of nineteenth- and twentieth-century works. Marie-Hélène Bou is an expert in paintings from these periods, affiliated with the Chambre Nationale des Experts Spécialisés and the Confédération Européenne des Experts d’Art. Her research has included a study of the work of Georges Artemoff.
Since 2014, the gallery has been based in the Lot, near Rocamadour. Each summer, it presents a major exhibition of contemporary artists at the Ferme du Grand Couvent in Gramat, set within a large park. The gallery also takes part in selected contemporary art fairs throughout the year. In 2020, Marie-Hélène’s son, Samuel Boscus, joined the gallery and took responsibility for its contemporary art program. Its artist selection reflects a preference for sincere, expressive work with a personal and sensitive character. The gallery also offers expertise in paintings.
