Galerie Renate Kammer is a Hamburg gallery dedicated to contemporary art and architecture. Since 1966, it has presented exhibitions and distinctive collections, building a programme that spans Fluxus, Pop Art, concrete art, conceptual art and other contemporary movements. Since 1993, the gallery has also included changing exhibitions connected with international architecture and represents selected architects and architectural practices alongside artists.
The gallery represents a broad range of artistic positions, including works by Joseph Beuys, Franz Erhard Walther and other established and contemporary artists. Its online shop offers artworks by gallery artists and additional contemporary creators, as well as art publications. The gallery publishes its own exhibition catalogues, featuring images and writing about artists and their work, and also sells artists’ books, special editions and catalogues from other publishers.
Beyond exhibitions and sales, Galerie Renate Kammer supports art collecting by advising on collection building and assisting with connections to auction houses. It also facilitates contact with artists and architects for building projects.
