Galicia Encantada is a digital encyclopedia devoted to the popular and traditional fantasy of Galicia. Since 2005, it has gathered stories, beliefs and cultural memories about the region’s imagined world, presenting myths, legends, oral tales, romances, rituals and adventures that continue to live in collective memory. Its broad collection is organized into categories covering mythical beings, witches, spirits, enchanted places and buildings, treasures, folklore, traditional medicine, festivals, pilgrimage, landscape and more.

Visitors can search for a creature or place and explore the stories associated with it. The site also offers educational resources through Aulas do Imaxinario, themed routes, a dictionary of Galician mythical beings, a media library, a bibliography and documentation, as well as games and other interactive activities. Readers can contribute by submitting a legend, and the platform shares news and new additions to its collection.

Coordinated by Antonio Reigosa, with technical coordination by Manuel Fernández Prado and iconography by Noemí López, Galicia Encantada serves as an accessible resource for discovering and preserving Galicia’s traditional narratives and folklore
