About Gallen-Kallelan Museo
Welcome to Tarvaspää! Gallen-Kallelan Museo, located in Espoo, is a unique art and cultural history museum. With its beautiful surroundings and stunning architecture, it provides a wonderful setting for a museum visit. Established in 1961, the museum is housed in Tarvaspää Ateljelinna, a studio castle designed and built by the renowned artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela (1865-1931).
Gallen-Kallelan Museo showcases the art and life of Akseli Gallen-Kallela, as well as works by his contemporaries and modern artists. The museum offers diverse exhibitions, events, and guided tours, serving as a hub of information about Akseli Gallen-Kallela. Located at Gallen-Kallelan Tie 27, Espoo, the museum and café are open daily, with extended hours on Wednesdays. Tickets are available for adults, seniors, students, and the unemployed. The museum is also a Museokorttikohde and Kaikukorttikohde.
