Galleria W. Apolloni and Galleria del Laocoonte are historic art galleries founded in Rome, with a story dating back to 1926. Run by the Apolloni family for three generations, W.
Apolloni is directed by Marco Fabio Apolloni, an art historian, writer and journalist. In 2012, he and Monica Cardarelli established Galleria del Laocoonte to promote Italian art of the 20th century, particularly works from the first half of the century. The galleries present and sell paintings, drawings, sculptures and other works of art, and have placed masterpieces with museums in Italy and abroad.
Their programme includes exhibitions, participation in art fairs across Europe, publications and opportunities for private, curated visits. The collection spans artists from the 19th century to the present, including Luigi Sabatelli, Giacomo Balla, Gino Severini and Renato Guttuso. Based at Via Margutta and Via Monterone in Rome, the galleries also operate Laocoon Gallery on Ryder Street in London, connecting collectors and museums with classical and modern works in historic settings
