About Gallery27
**Brand Description for Gallery 27**
Founded in February 2023 by Sathya Sai and Geetha Sai, Gallery 27 is a vibrant art space located in Mattancherry, Kochi, dedicated to showcasing and nurturing contemporary Indian art. Emerging from the challenges faced by their previous venture, Chaitanya Art Gallery, the founders are passionate about creating a hub for artistic expression and community engagement. With over 3,000 square feet of exhibition space, Gallery 27 seeks to introduce local audiences to imaginative art while developing the careers of local artists. The gallery embraces a candid approach, prioritizing artistic integrity over commercial interests. Recognizing the importance of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, it aims to uphold the high standards set by this international event. Despite the trials of the past, including the poignant farewell to artist Rajan Krishnan’s final works, Gallery 27 remains committed to pushing the boundaries of contemporary art and fostering a supportive environment for artists and art lovers alike. Join us on this exciting journey as we celebrate the transformative power of art.
