Michael Andrew Law Cheuk Yui is a Hong Kong-based artist born in 1982, working as a painter, filmmaker, and creator of internet and software art. His catalogue presents a distinctive approach he calls Exquisite Maximalism Pop: colorful, hand-painted compositions that combine Pop Art imagery, celebrity portraits, luxury goods, toys, food, and references to popular culture. Many paintings use acrylic and oil on canvas, with Ben-Day dots, collage-like arrangements, and densely layered details.
Featured subjects include Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe alongside recognizable fashion labels, diamonds, cartoon characters, and art-world motifs. The works range from intimate formats to large statement pieces and are offered for sale, with prices available on request; selected pieces can also be commissioned. The catalogue notes that some canvases are stretched and ready to hang, while framing or other arrangements may be available for particular works.
Law’s artworks have appeared in a solo show in Hong Kong and in a publication about his Pop Art practice
