About Gallery x Chiao
Gallery x Chiao, formerly known as Chiao x Art, is a vibrant contemporary art gallery situated in the heart of Taipei. Founded by Joanne Hsieh, an artist and writer based in Los Angeles, the gallery aims to showcase the diverse and dynamic art scenes of California to the Taiwanese audience. Emphasizing interactive opportunities between American artists and collectors in Asia, Gallery x Chiao fosters a playful and thought-provoking approach to art and creativity.
Joanne Hsieh, the Founder and Director, holds an MFA in painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in Studio Art from UC Irvine. Initially an online platform dedicated to emerging artists, Gallery x Chiao has evolved into a physical space hosting exhibitions for both SAIC alums and emerging Taiwanese artists. With a commitment to amplifying voices and nurturing new talent, Gallery x Chiao is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts seeking fresh perspectives and engaging experiences.
