Located in the famous seaside resort of Salthill, our Championship Standard 18 hole Parkland Course offers a fine test of golf with spectacular views over Galway Bay, the Burren, and Aran Islands. Stretching 5,974 meters and playing to a par of 70, this course is a gem for any discerning visitor.

The first four holes, running alongside Galway Bay, are accessible through an underground pedestrian tunnel. With mature trees, elevated and tiered greens, and punishing wild gorse, accuracy is key off the tee to score well. Our golfing facilities include a putting green, short game practice area, swing room, range, and driving nets.

Our resident PGA Professional, David Mortimer, and his team are available to provide advice and assistance to enhance your visit and game. After your round, relax in our comfortable 1st floor Bar & Dining Room, with complimentary WiFi and fireside dining offering breathtaking views of Galway Bay and the course. Our dining room serves a wide selection of dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, all served by our friendly staff.

Galway Golf Club has hosted several prestigious championships, including the 2016 Connacht Boys U18 Championship, the 2016 Irish Youths Amateur Open Championship, and the 2017 Irish Close Championship.
