**Brand Description: MSDG (Migration and Sustainable Development in The Gambia)**

MSDG is a pioneering diaspora-led initiative focused on enhancing migration policies and strategies for sustainable development in The Gambia. Commenced in August 2017, the project is spearheaded by GK Partners (GKP) in collaboration with the Gambian government and co-financed by the Swiss Government. The initiative aims to build operational capacities within key government ministries, promoting the integration of the Gambian diaspora into national development efforts.

The pilot phase of MSDG laid the groundwork for effective public sector reform, while the second phase (MSDG2), running from January 2019 to December 2022, continues to strengthen these efforts. Through workshops, technical expertise, and strategic policy development, MSDG empowers local officials and aligns with international best practices. Notably, Gibril Faal, a recognized leader in diaspora development, guides these transformative initiatives, also having previously developed the 'Moldova Diaspora Strategy 2025.' MSDG’s work is pivotal in fostering a sustainable future for The Gambia by leveraging the potential of its diaspora.
