About Gamechuck
Gamechuck is a video game and hardware developer based in Zagreb, Croatia. Since their establishment in 2017, they have been committed to creating a diverse range of products, including games and gaming hardware. Their journey started with a series of interactive comics and has since expanded to retro-styled action games like Speed Limit and Midwintar, as well as large-scale narrative-driven adventure games like Trip the Ark Fantastic and Professor Balthasar.
On the hardware front, Gamechuck is currently developing their own arcade gaming system called the Gamechuck Arcade, inspired by the iconic coin-operated gaming machines of the '80s and '90s. Notably, their games and products have received numerous nominations and awards at international events such as Filmteractive Warsaw, AZPlay Bilbao, Casual Connect London, and more. Moreover, Gamechuck actively engages in projects that integrate gaming with social innovation, working on AR, VR, simulations, apps, games, and hardware for museums, NGOs, and international projects related to education, inclusion, and anthropology.
Gamechuck has received recognition and support from prestigious institutions such as the Creative Europe fund, the City of Zagreb, the Ministry of Culture in Croatia, and international cultural institutions like the Goethe Institute and Institute Français. In addition to their products, Gamechuck is committed to promoting a healthy gamedev culture. They prioritize values such as fair profit distribution among employees, giving credit to everyone involved in their projects, avoiding crunch time, fostering unionization, ensuring sustainable growth, supporting open-source initiatives, promoting education in game development, and collaborating with organizations like the University of Zagreb and Udruga Roda NGO
