Game Design LA

Escuela de Game Design LA is a Buenos Aires-based learning community focused on game design, interactive and transmedia storytelling, and creative writing. It offers online courses with immediate access, along with short, modular workshops that cover topics such as worldbuilding, character development, dialogue, story creation, and video game scripts. Its courses also explore gamification, interactive narrative, and transmedia storytelling, with applications across video games, film, television, and literature.

The school publishes Spanish-language books on game design, gamification, transmedia storytelling, interactive narrative, level design, and game history. Its first four books were declared of interest for social communication and culture by the City of Buenos Aires in 2023. The wider offering includes a design toolkit, a game design canvas, and ludified classes, as well as a blog and shop featuring related publications and games.

Beyond instruction and publishing, Escuela de Game Design LA brings professionals and enthusiasts together through its Telegram community, online SCUMM Bar gatherings, and free book club.
