Gamla Stans Simskola

Gamla Stans Simskola is a swimming school located in central Stockholm, offering lessons at Storkyrkobadet. The school has been teaching swimmers there since 1999, with courses designed to build practical swimming skills and confidence in the water. Its classes include options for learners with different levels of experience.

In the parent-and-child swimming class, a parent joins the child in the water. Lessons introduce and practise breaststroke and backstroke leg movements, while games help participants become comfortable in the water. Beginner swimming classes focus on learning breaststroke from the fundamentals, starting with leg movements and introducing arm movements. Participants also practise backstroke exercises and floating.

Adults can take a swimming course with no prior experience required. Instruction is adapted to each participant, with individual attention during lessons. The school also provides information about course levels and start dates, alongside practical guidance for participants. Gamla Stans Simskola can be contacted by phone at 073-500 79 78 or at its address on Svartmangatan 20 in Stockholm.
