Association Les Ganecoux

Association Ganecoux is a French non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the Middle Ages to life through historical reenactment and live performance. Drawing on its experience in organizing and staging medieval shows, the association creates tailor-made activities for cultural events, celebrations, promotional programs, and other occasions. Its interactive offerings are designed to entertain and educate children, teenagers, families, and educational audiences, and some activities can be translated into English.

The program includes historical demonstrations, performances, combat displays, and hands-on games. Visitors can explore medieval daily life through activities about heraldry, cooking, camp life, arms and armor, and the work of a barber-surgeon. The association also offers a model of a fortified castle, a presentation of a lord’s tent, knightly dubbing, and demonstrations of medieval expressions and traditions. Younger participants can try supervised, themed activities such as children’s crossbows, pike training, trebuchet games, sack races, tug-of-war, stilts, and Kiddy Battle. With a varied selection of educational and playful experiences, Ganecoux helps event organizers shape engaging medieval-themed programs to suit their needs.
