GANSO, or Sustainable Livestock GANSO, is a Colombian organization founded by Climate Focus and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT). Our mission is to integrate intensified livestock production with tree crops, ecosystem conservation, restoration, and ecosystem services formalization.

We aim to achieve a sustainable transformation of land use in Colombia, reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production, decrease deforestation, and promote a low-carbon economy. GANSO offers independent assessment of sustainable management in livestock companies through voluntary evaluation tools, environmental monitoring of meat and milk supply chains, technical assistance for transitioning to sustainable production systems, and investment models to enhance profitability and ecosystem services.
