About Garden State Growers
Garden State Growers, LLC is a reputable brand that has been in the business of gardening since the late 1970s. It all started with a group of forward-thinking brothers who began taking cuttings of Pachysandra from their neighbors' yard and rooted them in containers. These cuttings were then brought to market using their father's station wagon.
Recognizing the potential for growth, the brothers purchased a piece of land in central NJ and established their first greenhouses. Over time, these greenhouses were upgraded to state-of-the-art glass and plastic structures, which are still in use today. With their flagship location in Pittstown, NJ, Garden State Growers has since expanded to include locations in eastern PA and northern NJ.
They currently occupy an impressive 46 acres of climate-controlled greenhouses and over 100 acres of outdoor field production. What was once a pachysandra growing operation has now evolved into a greenhouse that cultivates a vast array of annuals, perennials, and houseplants. In addition to their own production, Garden State Growers sources a portion of their plants from growers in the Southern U.
S. A., taking advantage of the favorable climate for early spring production. They have embraced a business model focused on supplying Big Box Retailers with superior quality plants at competitive prices.
