Garhart Foundation

The Garhart Foundation is a charitable organization based in North Bend, Washington, dedicated to helping children spend time outdoors. Guided by its motto, “No child left indoors,” the Foundation creates opportunities for young people to gain outdoor skills and experiences, build confidence, and learn teamwork. In partnership with the Snoqualmie Valley School District, it provides scholarships for outdoor programs, helping families connect children with activities they might otherwise be unable to access.

Its support also makes possible group rides and outings designed to foster resilience, friendship, and constructive communication across ages and backgrounds. The Foundation is run by a small, dedicated team and welcomes community involvement through donations of money or time. Beyond its youth programs, it preserves and shares the Garhart family’s history in the Mill Creek area, including stories connected with the land, reservoir, orchard, and local people.
