About Garland magazine
Garland Magazine is a platform dedicated to thoughtful writing about exquisite objects created in our world today. The magazine believes that cultures are formed through these handcrafted items, stringing together the diverse threads of humanity into a beautiful garland of unity, as expressed by Rabindranath Tagore in 1925. As a platform, Garland Magazine goes beyond publishing quarterly issues.
They provide timely stories in between issues through their Loop section. Their Orbit section lists major events, exhibitions, talks, tours, podcasts, and deadlines happening in the art and craft world. Each month, they feature a laurel, highlighting a stunning and profound object recently made.
While most of their content is freely accessible, they also offer exclusive material to their Circle of subscribers and contributors. This includes Quarterly Essays, ebooks, and a monthly newsletter providing informative and inspiring updates on the world of makers. In addition, Garland Magazine has published a physical compendium representing their first journey in five volumes.
Guided by Knowledge Keepers and developed by pathfinders, Garland Magazine's journey is a true reflection of their commitment to promoting organic connections and celebrating the true essence of craftsmanship
