About Garter Lane Arts Centre
Garter Lane Arts Centre is a vibrant and thriving multidisciplinary venue located in the heart of Waterford City. With two Georgian buildings, Garter Lane offers a wide range of visual arts, theatre, dance, music, film, and children's arts programming. Supported by the Arts Council, Waterford City Council, and the Department of Social Protection, as well as its Patrons and Friends, Garter Lane welcomes over 30,000 visitors annually.
The Arts Centre has been an integral part of the community for over 30 years, providing a diverse year-round program of exhibitions, performances, classes, workshops, screenings, and outreach programs. Garter Lane houses a beautiful 164-seater theatre space, where nationally acclaimed theatre productions are showcased alongside locally produced work of the highest standards. The venue also boasts two exhibition spaces that feature contemporary and locally produced visual art.
