About Gaston Choral Society
Gaston Choral Society is a thriving community choir in Gaston County that has been bringing the joy of choral music to the local community for over 50 years. Founded in 1968 by two visionary doctors, Dr. Joel Conner and Dr.
Edward Whitesides, the society has grown from a small group of enthusiastic singers to a diverse ensemble that includes members of all ages, from high school students to adults. Under the skilled direction of Adrian Littlejohn and six other talented directors, Gaston Choral Society has been delighting audiences with a wide variety of choral music. Their repertoire encompasses both sacred and contemporary pieces, ranging from moving renditions of sacred texts to lively arrangements of popular Hindi songs.
Gaston Choral Society welcomes all mature high school students and adults who share a passion for choral music to join their family. They also invite individuals interested in supporting their mission to become patrons.
