Gateway Nurseries and Pre-schools is a registered charity serving children, families and local communities through five pre-schools in Gosport, Hampshire. Its work is guided by a Christian ethos and a child-centred mission: to make every child’s happiness, well-being and progress central to their care and education. Gateway provides a stimulating environment where children are valued and supported, with attention to their social, emotional, physical and mental development. The organisation welcomes children of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths and abilities, and works in partnership with parents and carers.

Families are offered settling-in support, including a “get to know you” home visit, an initial parent-and-child visit, and a gradual settling programme. Staff build close relationships with children and families, encourage independence and learning, and share children’s achievements with parents. Gateway offers fair fees and funded places for eligible two-year-olds and three- and four-year-olds, including 15-hour and 30-hour options for qualifying families. Its pre-schools are rated “Good” by Ofsted, with some aspects rated “Outstanding.”.
