Gateway Program News is a brand that focuses on delivering critical rail infrastructure projects between Newark, New Jersey and Penn Station in New York City along the Northeast Corridor. As the most urgent infrastructure program in America, Gateway Program News aims to replace and update rail infrastructure assets that are over 100 years old. By expanding capacity along this 10-mile stretch, it will alleviate congestion and improve the daily commute for the over 800,000 passengers that travel on the Northeast Corridor.

The program's first phase includes the construction of a new two-track tunnel under the Hudson River, the rehabilitation of the existing two-track North River Tunnel, the completion of a concrete casing on the West Side of Manhattan, and the replacement of the Portal Bridge in New Jersey. Later phases will involve the replacement and expansion of the Sawtooth Bridges, the expansion of Penn Station in Manhattan, the expansion and modification of Secaucus Junction Station, and the construction of a rail yard and operational support facilities in New Jersey.
