GaveKids

GaveKids is a coaching practice that supports gifted children, young people and children with an advanced developmental profile. It helps them understand their feelings, thoughts and behaviour, discover their talents, and develop ways to use them with confidence. The practice recognises that giftedness involves more than high intelligence and can bring challenges for children and their families.

GaveKids offers tailored individual coaching, group programmes and support with learning and confidence. Sessions can help children manage emotions such as anxiety, fear of failure, frustration and disappointment; approach challenges more willingly; identify their learning style; choose effective learning strategies; and plan activities such as homework. The aim is to help children feel more relaxed and positive, build awareness and gain successful experiences.

Support is designed for both child and parent, with attention to the family’s concerns and the child’s development. Coaching is described as accessible and usually short-term. GaveKids also offers tutoring and guidance, along with information about services, fees and downloadable resources.
