Gävle Ponnyklubb

Gävle Ponnyklubb (GPK) is a riding club and equestrian school in Gävle, Sweden, established in 1963. Its mission is to offer riders a meaningful leisure activity, whether they want to compete or simply enjoy horses and community. The riding school welcomes students at all levels, from beginners to riders competing nationally, and offers lessons led by instructors. Its programs include beginner riding courses, horse-care courses and riding for people with disabilities. Horse-care students learn practical skills such as grooming, saddling, bridling and leading a pony, with an opportunity to ride.

GPK also hosts training sessions, activities and competitions, and provides information and courses for riders interested in obtaining the Green Card required for competition. Members can access the club’s riding facilities, while a membership stable offers space for horses. The club cares for its riding horses and ponies, and encourages members to contribute as volunteers, including at competitions and in the café. With riding instruction, horse-related learning and opportunities to get involved, GPK serves a broad community of horse enthusiasts.
