Gaz du Cameroun (GDC) is a fully integrated energy utility company that pioneered the production and distribution of natural gas in Cameroon. Based in Douala, the country’s commercial capital, GDC supplies gas to industrial customers and describes itself as the city’s sole gas supplier. The company has invested more than $245 million in facilities to extract gas from local production wells and distribute it safely.
GDC offers thermal gas for industrial machinery, gas-fired electricity generation, and condensate liquids, which are transported to Cameroon’s SONARA petrochemical refinery. The company highlights potential benefits for customers, including reduced equipment wear and no storage or heating costs. It is also working with ENEO to supply gas to power stations in Douala, supporting electricity generation for the national grid.
Through its customer services, GDC invites businesses to explore whether gas can meet their operational needs. Its website also provides information about gas safety and standards, customer case studies, company policies, careers, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
