Gazete Azulejos is a tile studio in Porto dedicated to preserving the art and history of traditional Portuguese azulejos. The studio creates hand-painted replicas of historic tile designs, using classic techniques and research to reproduce patterns with care and accuracy. Its made-to-order tiles are available in a range of patterns and sizes for kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, wall panels, and smaller decorative projects.

Gazete Azulejos also offers tile-painting workshops in Porto, where participants learn traditional azulejo decoration techniques, receive guidance from the studio, and paint a tile to take home. Beyond making tiles and teaching workshops, the studio researches Portuguese tile history, iconography, and ceramic techniques. Its ongoing photographic project, Os Azulejos do Porto, documents tiled façades across the city to help preserve a record of existing designs and inform faithful reproductions. Customers can explore the studio’s tile collection through its online shop, while its website also features a blog and information about its work and research.
