Gracie Barra Downers

Gracie Barra Downers Grove is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts school serving students of all ages and experience levels. For more than 11 years, the academy has offered training that combines physical techniques with values such as discipline, confidence, and respect. Its goal is to create a supportive community where students can develop on and off the mats, learn self-defense, and pursue personal growth.

Programs include classes for children and adults at different stages of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, from foundational instruction to advanced and black belt training. The school also offers women’s classes and self-defense, private one-on-one coaching, and No-Gi training for adults and children. Children can additionally take Muay Thai and MMA classes focused on striking, movement, coordination, and self-defense in a safe, supportive setting.

Gracie Barra Downers Grove emphasizes welcoming instruction, individual goals, fitness, and well-being. Its approach draws on the Gracie Barra tradition of using Jiu-Jitsu to bring people and families together, while helping students build resilience and skills for challenges in everyday life.
