GB Instagram is an independently developed modified version of the Instagram app, first released in 2017. The site presents it as an Android social media app for users seeking more customization and privacy options than those available in the standard Instagram experience. Its listed features include themes and interface customization, anonymous story viewing, and the ability to download photos, Reels, and longer videos directly to a device. The site also describes Ghost Security and other privacy-related features, though it does not provide independent verification of its security claims.

The latest version identified on the site is v6.5, listed as a free 57.6 MB download for Android 5.0 and later. Because the app is not available through Google Play, installation involves downloading and manually installing an APK. The site also provides instructions for running the Android app on a PC using an emulator; it notes that an official PC version is unavailable. The page names GB insta as the developer and offers download guides and information about versions and device requirements.
