About Ecohubmap
The Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC) is a voluntary global initiative that brings together governments, businesses, civil society organizations, and academic institutions to advance the successful implementation of carbon pricing. Launched in 2015 during the Paris Climate Conference (COP21), the Coalition promotes carbon pricing as a policy tool for aligning climate action and reducing carbon emissions. Its work supports understanding and implementation at global, regional, national, and subnational levels.
The CPLC helps members and partners share experiences, learn from practical lessons, and build support for effective carbon pricing policies. Its activities include knowledge sharing, targeted technical analysis, and public-private dialogues designed to guide policy adoption and accelerate implementation. The Coalition’s partner-led initiatives have developed from broad advocacy toward more focused work informed by participants’ experience.
The World Bank Group administers the CPLC Secretariat. As reported in mid-2021, the Coalition included 35 national and subnational governments, 176 private-sector organizations, and 102 strategic partners, including NGOs, business organizations, and universities.
