Geelong Cross Country Club is a community running club that organises events around Geelong, primarily on walking and cycling tracks. Its Sunday season runs from April to September and features races ranging from 5 km to 21 km. The club welcomes runners of different abilities, with its general information noting participation for people aged 16 and over, while its event listings also invite runners of all ages and speeds.

Members and non-members can take part, and the club provides information about joining, race fees, event courses, results and frequently asked questions. Its programme includes handicap races and other events, with results, club awards and champions recognised across the season. The club also hosts the Geelong Half Marathon, an annual fundraiser held on a scenic course beside the Barwon River.

Entry fees support community organisations; in 2026, the club donated $23,000 to University Hospital Geelong, including the Andrew Love Cancer Centre
