Göteborgs Centrum för Kompetensutveckling (GCK) is a Gothenburg-based provider of professional development and therapeutic services grounded in systemic and narrative approaches. It supports people working in social services, schools, treatment institutions and child psychiatry through training, supervision and other forms of workplace support. Its services include coaching, guidance and development for professional practice, as well as an introduction to systemic and narrative methods.
GCK also offers a conversation clinic providing individual, couples and family therapy, with support for a range of personal, relational and life challenges. Its education programme includes recurring courses and tailored training designed around clients’ specific needs. Further learning opportunities include workshops and Friday seminars featuring Swedish and international speakers, creating a forum for professionals to explore systemic and narrative ideas.
GCK also runs a multifamily programme in which families meet to work together. Among its programmes are foundational psychotherapy and supervision training, including courses focused on family and network work and supervision of foster families
