GCRIVA

GCRIVA, or Grupo Criança em Busca de uma Nova Vida, is a nonprofit association based in Vespasiano in the Belo Horizonte metropolitan region of Brazil. For more than 40 years, it has worked with communities on the outskirts of the city, particularly Morro Alto, to protect children and expand opportunities for adolescents and young people. The organization provides free, ongoing services for children, young people, and their families through social assistance, social education, and community-based health support.

Its programs include part-time early childhood education for children aged three to five, social, legal, and psychosocial support, and activities in arts, culture, sports, and leisure. In partnership with local and educational institutions, GCRIVA also offers basic health appointments in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, general medicine, psychiatry, and gynecology, along with health-awareness campaigns. Its initiatives include the Família Feliz and Juventude Confiante programs and the planned Casa da Criança, designed to support children’s development through coordinated education, social assistance, and health services.
