Granite City Wanderers Hockey Club is a volunteer-run club based in Aberdeen, founded in 1992. It aims to give every member the opportunity to play hockey at the level that suits them, and welcomes beginners as well as experienced players. The club offers outdoor hockey for men and women, with three men’s teams and five women’s teams, plus teams in both sections for indoor hockey.

Its playing opportunities range from elite National League competition to the more sociable District League level. Granite City Wanderers also supports youth hockey, with teams and coaching for young players, including girls’ U14 and U16 squads. Members can take part in training and competitive play, with schedules adjusted for indoor and winter seasons.

The club is supported by sponsors and a network of volunteers, including coaches and youth coordinators. Through its teams, training and youth programme, Granite City Wanderers provides a welcoming setting for people in the local community to develop their hockey skills and enjoy the sport
