GDCA Ghana is an organization dedicated to developing communities and promoting educational accountability and responsiveness in Ghana. They strive for equitable access to quality basic education, particularly for children in deprived areas, including girls in remote rural parts of the country. The organization recognizes that a lack of transparency and bottom-up accountability hinders progress in the education sector.

To address this, GDCA aims to mobilize citizens in deprived districts, empowering them to understand their rights and monitor educational delivery through social accountability processes. They also work to strengthen alliances and networks among Northern Ghana CSOs, enabling them to contribute to national policy dialogue on education equity. Through community mobilization, youth engagement, data gathering, social accountability processes, collaboration with relevant CSOs, advocacy, policy influencing, and capacity support for state actors, GDCA is making a significant impact on the education system in Ghana.

By promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement, GDCA is actively working towards achieving equitable access to quality, gender-responsive, and inclusive education throughout Ghana's deprived areas
