The Große Dransdorfer Karnevals-Gesellschaft (GDKG) e. V. is a carnival association based in Dransdorf, in the western part of Bonn.
Rooted in local community life, the society celebrates the Rhineland’s Fastelovend with heart and humour and brings residents together through seasonal events, performances and traditions. Its activities include a dance guard, the presentation of adult and children’s carnival dignitaries, and participation in local and Bonn carnival parades. The GDKG also organizes gatherings throughout the season, such as its carnival opening, a children’s carnival event, a traditional Frühschoppen, a Kamelle party, a Christmas concert and a fish supper.
Its published programme includes events at venues around Dransdorf, including the Ketteler-Schule hall, the Lambertus-Stube and the Ketteler-Platz festival tent. The association welcomes prospective members and provides access to a membership application and its statutes.
