Gedächtniswald

Gedächtniswald Jünkerath, operated by Bestattungen Assenmacher, offers natural burial services in a woodland setting in the Vulkaneifel region of Germany. The site provides a peaceful place where remembrance and farewell are connected with the living forest, its trees, paths and changing seasons. Its services include tree and woodland burials, where a tree can serve as a lasting memorial, and an ash-scattering area that offers remembrance without an individual grave.

The Gedächtniswald also provides burial options for people and their pets, including the possibility of reserving a place beside a pet or choosing a burial place solely for an animal. In addition to arranging burials, the team offers personal consultations about advance funeral planning and welcomes visitors who wish to see the woodland. Marco and Bianca Assenmacher are named as personal contacts for enquiries.

The grounds are accessible and have parking. Located in Jünkerath, the Gedächtniswald serves the Vulkaneifel and surrounding areas, offering families a natural setting for remembrance without the upkeep associated with a conventional grave
