Gender Environment and Development Action (GEDA-UGANDA) is a non-profit organization in Uganda with a focus on gender and environmental issues. We work towards understanding and addressing gender inequality in various spheres, including the environment, economy, health, and socio-cultural contexts. Our mission includes promoting gender equity, environmental justice, and economic empowerment for women and girls.

At GEDA-Uganda, we engage with communities to find innovative solutions that empower women and girls to reach their full potential. This includes promoting alternative energy sources, such as energy-efficient cooking stoves and heat retention bags, to reduce environmental degradation caused by traditional practices. We also address issues like Sex and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) through counseling and referral services.

Our vision is a world where gender equity, environmental sustainability, and economic justice prevail. Through our core values of gender equity, integrity, transparency, non-discrimination, and respect for humanity and the environment, we strive to create resilient and dignified lives for all.
