About Gedcomplus
Gedcomplus is a free online genealogy application for turning a GEDCOM family-history file into an interactive family tree or genealogy wheel. Designed with French users and Firefox in mind, it lets genealogists explore ancestry or descendants from a selected individual, with options to set the number of generations or display them all. Users can choose a wheel or tree layout, include portraits, and color wheels by branch or region.
The resulting graphic is provided as a portable HTML file that can be saved, shared, printed, or embedded in a personal website. PDF export supports printing in A4 or large formats, making the tool suitable for projects ranging from screen-based research to oversized displays. Gedcomplus can also handle repeated ancestors or descendants in a family graph, identifying cross-references so complex relationships remain visible.
To use the service, users upload a GEDCOM file and select the person and presentation settings; portrait images can be uploaded separately when needed
