About Geek Girls Portugal
Geek Girls Portugal (G2PT) is a community focused on engaging, inspiring, and empowering women in the technology field. Originally known as Portugal Girl Geek Dinners, this community was established in 2010 as the first Portuguese community designed to bring together and support women in technology through regular meetups. In September 2016, it rebranded as Geek Girls Portugal with a new logo and a broader mission.
The new mission aims to involve, inspire, and empower women through meetups, workshops, awareness sessions in schools to inspire young women, and mentoring programs to support the professional development and advancement of women in the technology industry. The community offers various events, including meetups, workshops, and mentorship programs, and is present in multiple cities across Portugal, including Aveiro, Braga, Coimbra, Faro, Leiria, Lisboa, and Porto.
