GEF CReW+ is a brand that focuses on implementing water and wastewater solutions for a clean and healthy Caribbean Sea. The brand recognizes the challenges faced by the Wider Caribbean Region when it comes to wastewater and sanitation services. With about 70 percent of the population lacking access to safely managed sanitation facilities and adequate hygiene services, GEF CReW+ aims to provide innovative and nature-based solutions to mitigate the effects of untreated wastewater on the environment and public health.

The project adopts the concept of Integrated Water and Wastewater Resources Management, where wastewater is viewed as a valuable resource with reuse potential in agriculture, industry, and other commercial sectors. This approach not only reduces pollution but also safeguards marine biodiversity and protects human health. By treating wastewater safely, GEF CReW+ directly contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 6, 11, 13, 14, and 15.
