Geheugen van Baarn

Geheugen van Baarn is a local history website initiated by Stichting Groenegraf.nl, dedicated to the past of Baarn and, especially, the people who have lived there. It brings together historical information, images and stories, making the town’s heritage accessible to residents, researchers and other interested visitors.

The site offers an extensive collection of resources, including an overledenenregister with biographical stories, old address books, information about buildings, businesses, villas and farms, and a digital map of historic Baarn. Visitors can explore a photo archive, old newspaper articles, personal accounts and stories from the Groenegraf collection, as well as publications and books. The material is continually enriched through research by volunteers, and the organisation welcomes contributions from people with relevant information or historical items.

Most website content and images are freely accessible without registration. Access to records of people who died within the past 25 years is restricted to registered users, helping protect bereaved families.
