The 1st Geistinger Garde of 2003 is a Hennef carnival association founded in 2003 by General Heinz-Dieter Moore. Though relatively young, the guard is rooted in the long history of Geistingen and has grown into an established part of Hennef’s carnival tradition. Its members bring heart, humor and commitment to the local community, with performances that playfully parody the military of the 18th century.
During the carnival season, the guard appears at events across Hennef, and its website shares schedules so visitors can find upcoming appearances. The association also takes part in activities beyond the carnival season, with additional dates featured in its annual calendar. Alongside event information, the site offers news, photographs, press coverage and historical background about the guard.
The 1st Geistinger Garde welcomes fellow carnival enthusiasts and celebrates its community through performances and gatherings, including its 2x11-year anniversary celebration. Based in Geistingen, Hennef, the registered association provides a lively way to experience local carnival culture and its enduring traditions
